Love & Schiaparelli's maker and designer Miriam Gampel has created one of a kind collections based  on the intersections between Canada’s flora & fauna. Miriam Gampel was born in 1948 in Niagara Falls, Ontario and grew up close to the beauty and power of this great natural wonder of the world.

Miriam was a nomad for two decades travelling across British Columbia, Europe and the Mediterranean. Miriam has done everything from stringing ancient beads into necklaces in Jerusalem to designing and painting Italian maiolica for eight years on the Amalfi Coast.

On returning to Canada in the early nineties, Miriam began collect and work with gemstones, as well as salvaged and repurposed pendants. These repurposed jewellery collections are embedded with her in-depth knowledge of the juxtapositions between the old school ethics of conservation, vintage style, world culture, and sustainable design practices.
